- The estimated delivery time is selected at checkout. When selecting your desired shipping, you can input your shipping information and a UPS quote will be calculated for your specific delivery needs. Remember to keep in mind the number of handling days it will take for your order to process; this is listed on every product page. The handling time is not included in the shipping time. Every order is assigned a UPS tracking number; all orders are shipped via UPS. We want you to get the most out of every purchase and we will always strive to get your package to you as soon as possible.

Furthermore, when placing an order over the phone or when a Better Closet representative, trained in our security measures, contacts you (to verify address information or payment information if needed), rest assured your information is protected off-line as well. The information given is restricted in the office and available only to the person(s) who need it to complete your authorized transaction. Updates regarding security and all policies will be noted on the website in real time with the sole purpose being the peace of mind our users have knowing their information is protected. RETURNS & REPLACEMENTS
Return and Exchange
Better Closet is happy to accept returns for store credit only or exchanges for another item(s) if you are not satisfied with your purchase. Please read “What is the return policy?” below for all the policy details and “How do I make a return or exchange?” for step by step information. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to call 1-866-686-STYLE to speak with a Better Closet associate who will be happy to help you.
Quality Assurance Guarantee
Every item is inspected for quality assurance before it is shipped to you carefully packaged. This means you will never have to worry about receiving damaged goods. If in the unlikely event an item sustains damages in shipment, notify us within 3 days of receipt at returns@bettercloset.com of the damages. We will send you a UPS label to send the item back for repair only and we will assess the damage and return it to you as quickly as possible. The item must be in the condition you received it in, tags attached with no stains or signs of wear in order to qualify for a repair. If the item appears to have been damaged after receipt the item will be returned to you.
What is the return policy?
For your convenience we do accept most returns at Better Closet for store credit only provided you adhere to the guidelines explained in our Return and Exchanges Policy.* We do reserve the right to amend our Return and Exchange Policy.
Return and Exchange Policy
To ensure our fabulous Better Closet clients receive items only in the best condition, and to protect Better Closet from fraudulent purchasing we must insist on the following policies:
If you are not entirely satisfied with your Better Closet purchase, you have 3 days from receiving your item(s) to request a return for store credit or exchange authorization form from returns@bettercloset.com. See instructions below in “How do I make a return or exchange?” Items must then be received within 10 days in order for a credit to be processed. Items may be returned for store credit, less shipping costs. Your item must be in the original condition it was when purchased.** If you want to make an exchange, we will send the new item you selected at no additional shipping cost for an exchange once we receive the previous item.
*Exceptions: To ensure quality for all our customers, Final Sale and Special Order items and non-returnable merchandise have a strict no return/no exchange policy. Jovani, Terani, Faviana and Alberto Makali styles are not returnable or exchangeable. Store credit is valid for one year. Please Note: Any returns or exchanges received after 10 days of your receipt date will be returned to you.
**The item(s) must be returned in their original condition. For quality assurance, all returns and exchanges are inspected upon receipt. Tags must be attached and the item must not have been altered, washed, or worn. Any make-up stains, rips, snags, or tears present on the item, or any other damage will result in the item being returned to you. Please do Note: If you do not accept the item being returned to you, we will charge you 50% of the retail price of the item, plus shipping charges, as a restocking fee.
How do I make a return or exchange? (Domestic)
| 1. Within 3 days of receiving your item, email returns@bettercloset.com with your order number and reason for return for store credit or exchange and request the return/exchange authorization form.* In recognition of your desired return or exchange two things will be emailed to you: 1) a UPS return label and 2) a return/exchange authorization form. |
| 2. Print out and complete the return/exchange authorization form and include it with the item(s) you intend to return or exchange and the original invoice. If the original invoice is not included a credit or exchange cannot be issued. Please use the original packing when sending an item(s) back to Better Closet. |
| 3. Print out and affix the UPS return label to the front of the original package. Be sure to cover the original shipping label. |
| 4. Give the package to a UPS driver, leave it at a certified UPS drop-off location, or drop-off the item at a UPS location. You may call UPS to schedule a pick up of your package, but you will be subsequently charged for that pick up. |
| 5. We must receive your item within 10 days of your receiving the original shipment. An email will be sent to you notifying we have received it. |
| 6. If you requested an exchange, upon approval of returned merchandise in its original condition, you will be notified via email when your exchanged item is shipped and the tracking number will be given to you. If you are returning merchandise, the full reimbursement of funds will be initiated as store credit less shipping when we receive the item(s). |
| *All exchanges are subject to item availability. When returning more than one item a restocking fee of 50% of the retail value of each item returned will be charged on all returns of two or more items per order. You are responsible for shipping fees for returns and exchanged items. This means for any returns or exchanges you are responsible to pay for two shipping rates; the shipping at the time of your original purchase and then to return it, but we will send your new exchanged item for no additional shipping fee if using Standard Ground Shipping. If you require expedited shipping on your exchanged item, you will be required to cover the additional cost. |
International Order Returns / Exchanges
We cannot provide free returns or exchanges with our international orders nor can we refund any import fees. It is up to the customer to cover shipping and handling as well as any duties or tariffs incurred. Email returns@bettercloset.com with your order number to process a return or exchange. You will be responsible for shipping your item back to Better Closet and any fees incurred for that shipment. We recommend you ship with a carrier that offers a tracking number for your protection.
Special Order Items
Special order items are noted as such on their product page. These items are pre-ordered and are non-returnable or exchangeable. Special order items are made specifically for your purchase and require a longer delivery date which will be noted on the product page.
ORDERING
Product Knowledge
To ensure you are ordering item(s) that fulfill your style needs, wants and desires, be sure to read the description of the item(s) on their product page. The Where 2 Wear on every product page offers style suggestions and possible events the item is suited for. Make sure you pay close attention to the size chart to ensure a proper fit of your item(s). Read below, in Know Your Size, for instructions on taking your own measurements. Style reviews are there for your convenience. See what others’ who purchased the style think about it, where they wore it and any other information they wanted to post. Feel free to pose a question in the reviews or post a comment yourself! We will also pay close attention to the reviews to ensure they remain informative.
Know Your Size
Just as every designer has their own unique style, they also size their garments differently. You will notice a size chart on the bottom of every product page which will indicate the measurements for each style size. For an accurate fit, it is important to note your measurements and compare them to the size chart. It takes a quick minute to determine the best size for you which of course will give you the best fit in your new dress! By properly taking your measurements and paying attention to the size chart, you will have no trouble finding the right size for you and will have no need to worry about ordering the wrong size! Don’t know how to take your measurements? See below in “How to determine your size.” If you find that you are between sizes here are three easy rules to follow: 1) for a looser fit, on more fitted styles, round up a size. 2) For a tighter, body hugging, fit round down a size 3) For styles that have more volume in the skirt pay close attention to applicable bodice measurements and choose a dress size that is closest to your measurements. How to Determine Your Size
| Bust: Wrap a tape measure around your shoulder blades and the largest part of your bust. Keep the tape measure underneath your arms. For the best accuracy, raise your arms as little as possible during the measurement. |
| Waist: Run the tape measure around your natural waist; this is the thinnest part of your torso and directly at the bend when you lean over. For more form fitting styles you may want to measure across your waist with one finger inside for a loose fit. |
| Hip: Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your hip. Depending on the skirt the measurement of your hips may matter in the fit of the dress. For some form fitting styles this is an important measurement. |
How to Place an Order
If you are a Better Closet member, please log in before placing your order. If you have yet to become a member, you may also register on our homepage at BetterCloset.com for free! You will have your own client account which will help us contact you as soon as possible to verify any order discrepancies which could delay you from receiving your purchase. You will also be able to view your purchase history at any time through your Better Closet account. Once you have ordered your items(s), you will receive an email confirming your order along with the expected date of delivery. You will receive another email when your purchase has shipped and this will provide you with a tracking number.
Post Office or P.O. Box Delivery
At this time we cannot ship to any P.O. boxes.
International Orders
Customs and import charges are not included in the shipping charges on the check out page. You will be required to cover any costs incurred by receiving your package outside of the United States.

Item Availability
All our items are subject to availability. We at Better Closet will do our best to keep our merchandise available at all times but there are no guarantees. If you order an item that is out of stock, we will notify you as soon as that item is available. If you order more than one item, there is a possibility of not receiving those items at the same time. Take notice of the handling / availability time mentioned on each individual product page. That is the length of time it will take for your item to be picked, packed and prepared for shipping.
Order Cancellation
You may cancel your order before it is processed. Do note some items process quickly, so there is no guarantee cancellations will be honored. Email your order number to returns@bettercloset.com to cancel your order. You may also call 1-866-686-Style to process a cancellation and within 1 to 2 business days an email will be sent informing you if the cancellation was honored.
PAYMENT, PRICING & PROMOTIONS
Payment Methods
We accept credit cards, debit cards, money orders, and Better Closet gift certificates.
Your billing information must be the same as it is on your credit card statement. If your billing address is different than your shipping address, we are required to verify a secure transaction with the card company. In this event your order is subject to be delayed for up to two days. To ensure a speedier verification time, we suggest you register your alternative address with your credit card company for shipping purposes.
We accept the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card.
Pricing
BetterCloset adheres to fair pricing practices, however, we do reserve the right to amend our prices as we see fit. If an item you order mistakenly has the wrong price listed we will notify you of the situation as soon as possible. In this event, we will offer a refund for the item if the new price is too high.
Price Matching
If an item is priced lower on any other website we will match that price by 3% provided the price can be seen online when we review your inquiry. This applies to only merchandise that is in season and is regularly priced, not discounted or on sale for any reason. Email us at stylist@bettercloset.com to notify us of a lower priced item that you would like us to match by 3%. This must be done before you place your order.
Gift Certificates / Using Gift Certificates / Using Promotion Codes
Gift certificates are available for purchase; they will be emailed to you in the form of an e-gift card with a designated code and are valid through one calendar year. When checking out, type in your gift certificate code or promotional code in the prompted box and the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the gift certificate, and it will show your remaining value if one exists. If your purchase is greater than the amount of your gift card, you will have to pay the rest of the amount with one of our accepted methods of payment.
VIEWING ORDERS
You can view your order information and purchase history through your Better Closet account. In addition, you will receive an email confirming your purchase and shipping information after every order.
UPDATING ACCOUNT INFORMATION
You can update your Better Closet account information at any time. If after a purchase you need to request to ship to another address, you must do so in writing to returns@bettercloset.com. This may incur additional shipping fees.
